Arrived in Cape Town at 4pm and checked in at the Citi Lodge V&A, had a quick shower and hit the V&A Waterfront for some liquid nourishment.  This was to be our first and last evening in a hotel.  A fun evening celebrating our formal start point.  Our first mishap was the leaky water tank, which I had mentioned in my previous blog, and now we had our next surprise where the new inverter (converts 12v to 220v ) had quit and decided to take its own leave. So at the last minute we sourced an inverter which we picked up this morning and butchered it into our set up.  It works and allows us to keep the PC and camera batteries charged.
